Overview of the School
Mission Statement
“Guided by the belief in and passion for music and technology education, we are a caring community dedicated to academic excellence, world class music and technical instruction."
Rock Academy of the Performing Arts (RAPA) is the music conservatory wing of The Delta Academy. RAPA infuses a state-of-the-art music program in the high school that has a distinct focus on contemporary musical performance and theory for Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, and Drums under the “Rock n Roll” musical genre umbrella. We look to tap into the potential of aspiring vocalists and musicians with the passion to pursue music performance as a career in the musical genre they choose such as Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Country, Jazz, DJ/EDM and more. RAPA will accompany the instrumental music and vocal conservatories with a musical theater conservatory in the coming years. The musical theater conservatory will feature world-class musical theater program for students interested in singing, acting, instrumentation, and theater tech. In addition, RAPA will also incorporate a rock-industry vocational technology conservatory for students interested in sound, audio, lighting, videography, stage handling, and stage management. With skills from this trade program, students will have the knowledge and tools ready to earn a living as concert promoters, recording engineers, lighting techs, stage handlers, audio engineers, and digital video specialists for live performances.
